Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic medical care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for ensuring patient comfort, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting in treatment plans. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in various healthcare settings including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home healthcare.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).

  • Administer prescribed medications and injections.

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.

  • Collect samples for laboratory testing (e.g., blood, urine, swabs).

  • Observe patients and report changes in condition to RNs or physicians.

  • Provide wound care and change dressings as needed.

  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

  • Educate patients and families on basic health care and post-treatment care.

  • Ensure a safe and clean environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a state-approved LPN/LVN nursing program.

  • Licensure: Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
